2024/08/24: LE GO Train

The first of the leaves are starting to turn yellow, it feels much too early for this. It is only August, how dare the seasons change. I sit on the Lakeshore East GO Train to Union, continuing as Lakeshore West to Oakville. This has become a ritual in my biannual visits to Toronto because I love my friends and they live far away. I remember yesterday, the 506 West streetcar to Queen's Park and the beautiful trans woman who sat across from me in the booth. I almost missed my stop. To be fair she was the first queer person I'd seen in a week (thanks Uxbridge). I think about how this city will always be where I am from regardless of how much we've both changed.
